By the end of 2022, I was lucky enough to be contacted by Alexander Snow, the amazing animator and creator of Vinoke’s Apatite, a Batman/Superman fan film that he’s been working on since 2018. I was always a huge fan, and to have a chance to contribute my work to this project along side a team of incredible animators at this caliber is literally a dream come true. Also, I got to animate Batman, which was wonderful. Alex was such a fantastic director with very detailed and to the point feedback that allows the scenes to develop and be the best that they can be. I had a great time and really grateful for Alex for the opportunity. If you know me, you know I’ve been a sucker for superheroes my whole life, obviously the DC characters are among them. And it was really a dream come true for me when DeeDee Animation Studio got the collaboration with PHL Collective to work on the cinematic cut scenes for this game Justice League: Cosmic Chaos. It was like a perfect DC project for us to work on as it has this adorable “chibi” design sense, which I myself once did a series of fan animation with, and the zany animation style you might see in Looney Tunes. My version of the Sailor Moon characters. Sailor Moon was one of the first Japanese mangas that I read as a kid, simply because it was one of the first to be published in Vietnam back in the days. The anime was aired on TV not long after that but I never really had a chance to see a lot of the episodes because I was taking too many extracurricular classes, even when I was in first and 2nd grade.
